If I could snag your attention for a single, brief lesson,
I believe I could change your mind about some things.
Wait, hold on, you're turning away, eager to be gone,
But I really need to speak my piece.
Now hear me out, whether I whisper or stand and shout,
The world is not as it should be.
Look around yourselves now, look around and wonder how,
Your lives came to be this way.
Striving and waiting with baited breath to enter this rat-race death,
This mockery of all that life would aspire to be.
Rotting indoors, sifting drawers, drawing up their life plans, dead-pan,
As they realize they may have missed something along the way.
So
Busy month. Got to finish a very important college application, see to the end of a novella I'm working on, and get to work on Wicked and EggComic. Lots of fun. Actually, EggComic really is a lot of fun.
Later
A hiatus short enough to be overlooked, but long enough to notice by any standards. Still haven't submitted much, but I think of all the new artists needing a booster that have probably been swept under the carpet since I've been gone... Well, I'm back to lift some spirits. Check out the new piece, by the way. This is a -very- important character from a story I'm currently writing, which I hoope to make a full length work. Look for a follow-up soon, if you're looking at all. And keep doing what you're doing; everyone starts somewhere, even a prodigy.
